#Turismo

Date:  September, 8th

This carving belongs to the 16th century and it was brought from England by Mr. Juan Téllez Girón, the fourth Count of Ureña, in order to save the image from the plunder suffered by the reform of Henry VIII.  “Nuestra Señora de Consolación”, the patron saint of the town, processions each 8 September since 1624.

Furthermore, the neighbourhood where the see of the “Consolación” brotherhood is located, every year organizes a festival called “velá” in honour to its patron.
